Lionel Messi targeted by dangerous green laser pen during Argentina's Copa America quarter-final win over Colombia

Lionel Messi managed to lead his side to the semi-finals of the Copa America despite having to deal with a green laser being shone in his face.

Supporters in the stadium made an attempt to put Messi off of his stride by targeting Argentina's talisman during the goalless quarter-final match in Vina del Mar. 

The 28-year-old has been targeted while playing for Barcelona on a handful of occasions, with laser pens being used frequently by fans across Europe in order to distract their side's opponents.
